Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup....do I have your attention yet?

Next to the 3 minute flourless chocolate cake this frozen treat is by far my favourite snack. It not only tastes great, but is easy to make and filled with protein and good fat.

I make a bunch of varieties of this frozen 'dessert' but this is a great one to start off sharing with you. To reduce the calories, just decrease the peanut butter/almonds used in the recipe.

Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup
Serves 1

Ingredients:
- 1 scoop of vanilla/chocolate whey isolate protein powder* (if you want some recommendations for good brands to pick up, email me)
- 1 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tbsp of peanut butter
- 1-2 tsp sugar-free instant jell-o pudding mix (don't skip this part...it stops the dessert from freezing in a solid frozen-milk type way - it's the secret to the texture!)
- 8 raw almonds cut into pieces
- 'just enough' unsweetened almond milk/regular milk

1) Mix protein powder, unsweetened cocoa, sugar-free jello mix together. Add 'just enough' unsweetened almond milk/milk to be able to dissolve all of the powder. The thicker the mixture, the creamier your frozen dessert will be.

2) Once blended, drop peanut butter into the mixture and top with almonds.

3) Freeze for approximately 30-60 minutes (works best at the back of the freezer!) I like mine to be frozen on top and kind of liquidy on the bottom, so I tend to only need to freeze mine for a half hour but Brandon likes his frozen solid so his dessert stays in the freezer for closer to an hour.
