A recent article posted on Canada.com has declared that Canadian's are too busy to make good food choices and exercise regularly - or at least that's the reason they are giving.
It's true! We're all busy. We all have jobs, social commitments, housecleaning,
& pets/kids - life is hectic! But why is it always that the workouts and good food choices are the first things to be let go when things get crazy? How busy are we really? Let's pick apart our day - other than work and sleep, what 'excess' time do you have? How much time do you spend surfing the internet, watching reruns on tv, or endlessly refreshing facebook to see what is new with all of your acquaintances in the last 3 minutes?
Chances are that if you add up all of the 'busy' time that you spend doing things that really don't benefit you and make your life better that you'd have enough extra time for a workout or to prep a good meal. Try it out - can you find 30 minutes in your day that you don't really use in a good way?
Think of the time spent working out and eating well as an investment in your life. The 30 minutes you spend doing that will help to enrich the other 23.5 hours a day that you are alive. Everyone is short on time - it's just all a matter of how you choose to spend it.
