Sometimes what that special someone wants for Christmas isn't a material item...it's time with you (because yes, time with you is way more awesome than a new pair of gloves!) Maybe you share an interest and can plan an event around it, or maybe there is something you've both wanted to do for some time.
If you're reading this blog, chances on you either love to cook - or are trying to start :) How about going to a cooking class? My mom and I used to go to cooking classes together in Kingston for one-night classes that focused on a particular region in the world - great night of learning new skills, new cooking styles and of course, tasting delicious new foods! I highly recommend the recreational classes at Liasion College (in Kingston and other southern Ontario locations) or at Seneca College in Toronto or if a class out in the community doesn't strike your fancy, there are lots of individuals who are willing to come to your house to teach you how to cook special meals at your own home (I'm one of them - contact me for more details if you're interested!) If hands-on cooking isn't your thing, be sure to check our your local grocery stores and LCBOs for cooking demonstration nights to give you new ideas :)
Happy Cooking!
