A brunch world with no-modifiers-required-for-the-gluten-free-ers!

To kick off this new feature I thought I'd get it going! Last weekend I went out for my mom's birthday brunch to a great place in Kensington Market in downtown Toronto called 'Kensington Cornerstone'.

My mom picked it because it not only offered gluten-free menu options, but the entire menu was gluten-free! I can't tell you how great it felt to have the entire menu to choose from and not to have to ask the waiter to make sure my eggs didn't touch anyone's toast. FREEDOM!!!! This is a rare occurrence, especially in a restaurant that was appealing even to the non-gluten-avoiders :)

The menu was great - offering everything from your standard bacon and eggs, to buttermilk pancakes to a cheddar and steak omelet. One of my favourite parts of my meal was the amazing sides to my brunch. I had eggs with sauteed veggies and the hashbrowns were this amazing non-breaded/fried combination of sauteed white potatoes and sweet potatoes. Because I had just worked out and it was time to eat some added carbs I even had a slice of delicious gluten-free cheese toast. YUMM. It was delicious all the way through!

In addition to brunch, it also has a good variety of non-breakfast foods!

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxed meal in a really cool area of Toronto you've got to check out the Kensington Cornerstone!
