Day 21 of giving - the gift of relaxation

This time of year is crazy! Between trying to finish up year-end work, gift buying, social events and house decorating we are all at our max! My dad must have noticed that I needed some serious R&R because for my birthday (which was last week) he got me a gift card for some time at the spa! Spa days are not often things we think about buying for ourselves which make them the perfect gift. I can't tell you how excited I am for my massage today...it's going to be epic!

If you are looking for a less pricey alternative, why don't you make your own home spa gift? All you need to get is a couple of candles, some nice bath salts, and maybe some body scrub and lotion - and if the person is someone with kids, you could even offer to relieve them of their parenting duties for the afternoon so they can actually enjoy themselves in the peace and quiet. What better gift is there than that?
