Ingredients:
- 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk (or skim milk)
- 1.5 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa (this is one of those times to use the 'good' stuff like the PC or Ghiradelli brand)
- 1-2 packets of splenda- 1/2 cup of egg whites
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1) Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat over medium heat until warm, whisking throughout to blend in the cocoa.
2) Once warm, transfer to a sealable container (I used my protein shake-shaker) and shake until frothy. I tried using a milk frother and the shaker actually worked better to make a thick & creamy foam that was quite starbucks-esque :)
3) Pour into a mug and enjoy every last sip!

The egg whites not only are a great clean protein source, but they make the hot chocolate very creamy. What a great addition! Some other great flavour options? Add in 1/4 of mint extract, or a dash of cinnamon to mix up the flavour. SO tasty :)
