I've never been a proponent of detox diets - the way I look at it, if you are eating a good clean diet, you shouldn't need to schedule a discrete period of time to 'detox'. Your diet should be sufficient to keep your body functioning optimally. There is little evidence to support the idea that a 'detox' cleanse does anything to actually cleanse your body of the toxins it's designed to clear. If you are unsure of how to make that happen, speak to your trainer, naturopath or dietician to get you on a path to clean eating - not just for a cleanse - for everyday.
